CHHS Radiation Therapy Selective Admission

This application is for the Radiation Therapy program. Please review specific program information and admission requirements to make sure that you understand what is required and are eligible:

- PLEASE NOTE - effective fall 2026, all RTT courses will be offered only in an online format with face to face clinical courses/experiences. The next start for this program will be spring 2027, with a deadline of 9/15/26.

Please read the following requirements and considerations for program admission:

Applications must be submitted by the priority consideration date of September 15.
Applicants must be fully admitted to Northern Kentucky University as an undergraduate student.

Transcripts of all post-secondary work attempted at other institutions must be submitted to the NKU Office of Admissions so that transfer credit can be evaluated.
Applicants must have completed BIO 208/L - Human Anatomy and Physiology, PHY 110 - Introduction to Physics with Laboratory, and MAT 119 or MAT 129 - Pre-Calculus or Calculus with a C or better by the application due date.
Applicants must have completed with a C or better, or at least be enrolled in, HSC 101 - Intro to Health Professions or college level medical terminology, ENG 101 - Writing for College and Beyond, and BIO 209/L - Human Anatomy and Physiology II by the application due date. If enrolled in any of these courses somewhere other than NKU, transcripts must be submitted documenting enrollment by September 15.
All admitted students will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check and initial drug screening. More detailed information will be provided to accepted candidates.
All admitted students must be at least 18 years of age before beginning any program.
Applicants for the radiation therapy program are required to complete a shadowing experience. When shadowing, both engagement and professionalism from students will be expected.
